Sunburn Watch Entry #!

I'm starting a new little series on this blog called "Sunburn Watch". It's about me and my sunburn. It's going to be quite boring probably, and I am truly sorry for that. But I need somewhere to vent.
Well, I went to school today, red as a tomato. Actually, redder than an average tomato. But anyway, almost everyone stared, pointed, laughed, slapped my arms, and laughed. In that order for the most part. Did I mention laughed? But yes, it was quite rude/mean. So now, I am trying not to move or make any facial expressions such as smiling, lifting my eyebrows, or moving my nose/mouth/forehead in any way. The aloe vera crap doesn't really help, and I feel like I'm constantly on fire. Not just regular fire, but like the fiery pits of Hades fire. But I won't bore you anymore today. Thank you for suffering silently through this. DFTBA!

SPIFFS

We went to SPIFFS today for a nice little field trip. SPIFFS means 'St. Petersburg International Folk Fair Society'. We were supposed to be leaving school at 10:30a.m. and returning to school at 3:30p.m. It sounded quite nice because I would miss all the classes I hate without penalty. But the thing is, SPIFFS was held at Vinoy Park downtown. Near the water. And that meant it was gonna be hot. Like 85 degrees hot. And I'm really really really fair skinned. Me and sunlight have an ongoing battle. So of course, my friends and I decided to sit right on the sea-wall the entire day. It was actually really interesting, because the dolphins decided to come right under our feet and squeak and stuff. I knew I was going to get sunburned. So I wasn't very surprised when my friend said I was turning red. It was getting worse on the bus. When I walked into my 7th period class, the room was completely dark. But once my teacher turned the lights on, I knew it was bad. Half a dozen people around me gasped. Apparently, I've turned the color of the brightest red lobster imaginable. And it hurts like hell. My arms are also red, and stiff. And they hurt. Aloe is my new best friend.

This Chris Brown/Rihanna situation

If you haven't heard about the Chris Brown/Rihanna incident, you must be blind or deaf or have fallen off the face of the Earth without your computer/television. Well, for those of us that do know, let me ask this. Why has the public decided that we can snoop into these people's business and claim sides? I'm not saying that I'm taking a side, because to be honest, there really shouldn't be any "sides". Also, I'm sure you've seen the pictures of Rihanna after the alleged assault. It disappoints me that everyone is so involved in their personal business that they flock to find out everything about this incident. I mean, of course the fans will support Rihanna, but I think some people have gotten a little to obsessive about this. That's all I'm saying.

The Florida Child Abuse Test

As you may know, the FCAT, or "Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test" is a test to judge students on their Math, Reading, Science, and Writing capabilities. What a load of crap. It is really just a way for Government Officials to give us children something to do while they ham up the good scores and "give more attention" to the students that don't have as good scores. We sat for 2 hours straight taking this wonderful test while the supervisor stood around and watched. We didn't do anything for the rest of the day except watch old kids movies. That was quite enjoyable actually. But back to the point, I don't think this "FCAT" is such a good idea. It has been renamed by the kids of my school the FCAT, or the Florida Child Abuse Test.
